The Karori Events Centre is a new purpose built events centre for the residents of Karori. The project is a community led initiative with funds being raised by the Karori community. Designed by theatre specialists, Shand Shelton Architects, this multi purpose facility will cater for a range of activities from health and fitness to music and drama and will provide an excellent venue for events, exhibitions, meetings and performances. The building will accommodate an auditorium hall surrounded by a fully glazed, double height foyer space that will open out to a courtyard. Back of house facilities will include a commercial kitchen, dressing rooms, amenities, meeting room and storage spaces. The building is due for completion in October 2017.
