Simon held senior roles for two leading construction companies in the Hawkes Bay prior to joining Freear Philip Ltd in 2015, and comes with a wealth of expertise in tendering and contract administration. He completed a carpentry apprenticeship in the 1980s, achieving the coveted Fletcher Construction apprentice of the year award along the way. After working for over a decade as a carpenter, Simon took up study and gained a National Diploma in Quantity Surveying, then began working his way up in the industry with tenacity and professionalism. He’s passionate about construction and enjoys seeing buildings come together.
