Since the beginning of 2020, Freear Philip Relocations and our friends at All Heart New Zealand have saved 1,015 tonnes of furniture from going to the landfills and we have redirected them throughout the community. We are constantly adding to that total, with desks and other various items that are given to new homes throughout the community week by week.

To remove these desks from this office, some disassembly was required. This meant splitting each pod of two desks into three separate parts (two desk tops and one frame). By doing this, it became easier and more efficient to transport the desks. We also kept screws and other small pieces to make it easy for reassembly at its new home.

As well as helping with the recycling of office furniture, our team placed the current monitors and I.T equipment into storage whilst the new desks were being assembled.

This involved placing the I.T equipment into bags such as the mouse, keyboard and docking station. We also bubble wrapped each monitor, and labeled each item to their respective desk allowing the order to remain the same when the monitors returned to their new desk.
